Expert Assessment Case Study
Managing Brand through Rapid International Growth in a Technology Company
To meet growth targets, our client needed to expand rapidly in four locations across Europe, America and Asia. However much of its competitive advantage lay in a consistent approach to the client: consistent service quality, cross-border capability, and the development and management of long term, sustainable client relationships. The geographic spread and speed of growth created challenges to reliably replicating the values and behaviours that were most valued by clients.
Hanover was engaged to help the client to define and implement a values based approach to standardising practice around the globe. We interviewed a sample of their core clients, and used the feedback to develop a draft set of values. These were agreed with management, then translated into a set of competencies. The competencies were programmed into our state of the art psychometric testing instrument, which was deployed globally at the point of recruitment and selection.
Results
This process ensured a carefully aligned inflow of talent and enabled the company to protect the culture and to preserve the behaviours most valued by its clients through a period of exponential global growth.
