Executive Coaching at a Global Pharmaceutical Company

A leading global pharmaceutical company commissioned Hanover Executive to develop the executive leadership team through an extended period of executive coaching. The organisation wished to achieve increased business focus post-merger and post-matrix re-organisation. Following an initial workshop, designed to clarify roles and responsibilities post-matrix, a top team executive coaching programme was successfully delivered by Hanover Executive. Since then the organisation has continued to achieve more efficient international communication, greater clarity of focus and much improved morale.

Example 1

A senior executive had previously been completely focused on the scientific content of his work. Once he had understood and internalised management and leadership models he was able to manage his team more effectively and achieved a substantial percentage increase in a key performance measure (data capture). This resulted in a higher retention of key staff and achievement of buy-in to the new matrix organisation.

Example 2

A colleague had become isolated from his new international matrix partners with the consequence that he was unable to negotiate cross-culturally and cross-functionally. After several three-way communications involving his Hanover Executive coach, communications were restored and effective deployment of resources achieved to the satisfaction of all parties.
