Leadership Team Building at a Global Investment Bank

A global United States Investment Bank recognised that, in a fast changing climate, the performance of its most senior managers was critical to its success. Previous management development and team building had focused on technical expertise. Whilst the organisation had a number of large scale systems improvement projects underway, it was concerned that the benefits of some of its investments would not be realised owing to a lack of understanding of cross-cultural and cross-functional team working amongst its brightest managers.

Key staff engaged in individual leadership development and team building programmes with Hanover Executive, with the aim of enabling these individuals to achieve their business goals.

By having a sounding board and receiving challenging feedback from his leadership development coach, one senior executive was able to work more effectively with colleagues from other disciplines and his team. He recently reported the successful completion of the first stage of a major global systems integration programme and added that external executive coaching had been a critical factor in him achieving this goal.
