·Improving the self awareness of high potential talent to create high performing leaders
Hanover Executive WAT is only available through Hanover Executive. It is a bespoke, powerful and accurate diagnostic instrument which is currently being used by organisations to assess and develop candidates for senior leadership roles. It helps you to identify the extent to which high potential talent may be performing to your selected competencies - from an emotional rather than technical point of view. It can also be used to pinpoint critical leadership factors such as:
We frequently use Hanover Executive WAT in combination with in-depth competency based psychological interviewing and competency based psychometrics. It has also been used in an assessment centre to create a rounded diagnostic picture.
The test is conducted in two one hour sessions by fully trained/certified experts. The first session is question based and is supported by laptop technology which records and analyses data. This produces key areas for exploration. The second session involves a structured discussion, exploration of responses and action planning.
Background
We have used Hanover Executive WAT successfully for senior appointments in the financial services, media and nuclear industries in the United Kingdom. We are currently developing it and applying it in other sectors too.
The original WAT test was conceived by the Swiss Psychologist, C G Jung in the early 1900s. It was designed for forensic assessment and subsequently evolved for clinical use. Our expert psychologists and researchers have developed this original test and created Hanover Executive WAT - enabling us to test specific competencies relevant to organisational leadership. We have also built in the flexibility to accommodate specific diagnostic requirements.
How Hanover Executive WAT Works
Hanover Executive WAT can be administered by trained in-house personnel or by an expert psychologist. The interview after Hanover Executive WAT is usually conducted by an expert psychologist. For psychologically qualified practitioners, we can provide certified training and expert supervision if required.
Our expert analysis of Hanover Executive WAT responses illuminates both below-the-surface and deeper emotional patterns which influence how an individual feels and behaves. This provides the starting point for building development plans that ensure high performance authentic leadership.
Competency based interviewing is based on the premise that past behaviour is the best indicator of future performance. Hanover Executive WAT assessment is based on the premise that the best indicator of performance inhibition is below the surface and deeper emotion. Our approach is both diagnostic and developmental enabling us to remove barriers to learning and enable high performance.
